Homemade Breakfast Bars
Do you love granola bars, do your kids love granola bars? Well here’s a recipe that literally takes 10 minutes to mix up and 15 minutes to cook. These homemade Breakfast Bars are a great traveling snack or after school snack or pick-me-up till dinner time snack.
My schedule has been SO busy lately, I don’t know if I’m coming or going! I know you all feel that way too, especially this time of year. I am always looking for snacks and good things to eat while we are in the truck and this recipe for Breakfast Bars just happened to find me on our way home. I was in a truck stop and happened to find someone’s grocery list. This recipe was on the back and I just had to make it. Is that the food blogger in me? haha So thank you for the person that lost it!
This recipe for homemade Breakfast Bars is chewy and delicious.
Full of nutty and fruity flavors that make your taste-buds smile.
- 4 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teas. salt
- 1½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup coconut
- 1½ cups butter melted
- 1 18 oz. jar Orange Marmalade
- Preheat oven to 425*
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Press mixture evenly on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes to 18 minutes.
- Cool and cut into squares.
Next time I’m going to make them with apricot marmalade, I’ve already bought it!
