Appetizers anyone…STUFFED MUSHROOMS!
I love appetizers, how about you? Every now and again that all I make for dinner. We especially like to do that one holiday’s. For Easter we were invited to a my Aunt and Uncle’s home and their daughter made several appetizers, before the wonderful meal we ate. Needless to say we ate like Kings and Queens that day. One of the appetizers she made was these Stuffed Mushrooms. I seriously could have feeled up on just them. I love mushrooms but sausage not as much. The only kind of sausage I really like is Jimmy Dean and guess what that’s what kind she used. So I was all in! But I really couldn’t quit eating them! So the other day for supper we had appetizers. Of course I made Stuffed Mushrooms and they were every bit as good as I remembered. The only thing I added was a jalapeno on top of a few, just to give an extra kick! The whole family loved them (okay, our family only consists of 3 right now). But we all loved them! The best part is they are so easy to make and only 4 ingredients, plus jalapenos, optional!
- 15 white button Portobello mushrooms
- 1 16 oz. Jimmy Dean regular sausage
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- 5 or 6 green onions
- Pre heat oven to 350*
- Remove stem from mushroom and scoop out inside with spoon.
- Place in 9 x 13 baking dish.
- Cook sausage.
- Finely chopped green onions
- Add softened cream cheese
- Mix together
- Use medium scoop to add sausage mixture to inside of mushrooms.
- Place in oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and place on a serving tray and Enjoy!
This step is really easy to do. Just pull out the stem and use a spoon to scoop out the center.
After filling the mushrooms with the sausage filling, place in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Placing a jalapeno on the top is totally optional. But gives it that extra kick.
Really these Stuffed Mushrooms could be served at any meal, any time, for any occasion. I know I’m hooked! Let me know what you think by pinning, sharing, or leave a comment. Thanks for stopping by.
