from Georgia to Alabama
and back to Utah.
Now the fun part of that is we do it in 4 days.
That’s if everything goes right!
So we can have 3 DAYS OFF!
1. Do you like going the same place all the time?
Yes I do, it’s a designated run, I like knowing my days off.
We’ve drove going different places,
but you never know when you’re going to get home
and for how long you’ll be gone. Sometimes we don’t
get our regular load home and go home a different
way, which is nice to see different things.
But is plays havoc with our schedule
and so really I just prefer to do the same run.
2. Do you go the same way out and back?
We turn off I 40 at Flagstaff, AZ and take secondary highways
to end up in St. George, UT.
3. How long can you drive?
We can drive 11 hours at a time and
then have to be off 10 hours.
4. How do you drive that long?
It actually took me a few years to work up to that,
but now it’s just what I do. But I personally like
books on tape and xm radio.
5. How do you sleep?
That takes some getting use to, but the truck is our second home and it’s pretty comfortable. We have a very good bed and plenty of room. After driving for 10 hours, we’re sleepy.
But when I first started driving David prayed and said, “Dear Lord, this is our life so help me sleep while she’s driving!”
And we do pretty well.
Stay tuned for Part 2
Thank you for visiting and drive safe!
